Galliford Try has been appointed to build a new court number three at Wimbledon, with construction to begin after this year’s championships
Designed by Populous, the architect formerly known as HOK Sport, the arena will hold between 2,000 and 3,000 spectators. The news came in the same week as the unveiling of a retractable roof at Wimbledon’s centre court (pictured). This was designed and built by the same team. The engineer was Capita Symonds.
