Community in West Sussex will include mixed-tenure homes, infrastructure and public buildings
Housebuilder Countryside Properties has submitted planning applications for a new 1,013-home community near Broadbridge Heath in West Sussex.
The outline application lays out plans for 1,013 homes of all tenures, a primary school, a neighbourhood centre, business space, parish office, pub and open space including sports pitches, allotments, and associated infrastructure.
Countryside has also submitted an application to build new roads linking the site with the A24. The firm said the plans fitted Horsham council's core strategy policy and would be built to high environmental standards.
John Oldham, director and group chief town planner for Countryside Properties, said the plans were for a deliverable scheme which would provide a valuable boost to family housing in the area.
He said: “The difficulty during these recessionary times is conceiving plans that do actually deliver and we are confident that these plans can be brought to fruition within a reasonable timescale.”
