Three year framework to be used for school projects
Cambridgeshire council has fired the starting gun in its search for contractors on a £150m framework for design and build projects across the county.
It has given firms until 1 June to register interest for the three-year framework, which will focus on new build education capital projects such as primary and secondary schools.
It will also be used for adult social care, community and office schemes, with demolitions, capital replacements, extensions, repairs and renovation programs also covered.
Its four lots range from projects between £1m and £2.5m to projects worth more than £15m, with the council aiming to appoint a maximum of eight contractors to each lot.
Jobs procured through the framework will be restricted to Cambridgeshire but will be open to all public bodies within the county.
