Construction firm appointed contractor on Church Village by-pass scheme
Construction group Costain has won a contract from Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to develop the Church Village by-pass in South Wales.
The company beat five other civil engineering firms to be appointed to the early contractor involvement.
The 2005 works cost estimate was approximately £76m.
Andrew Wyllie, chief executive of Costain, said: “This is another good project win and an extension of our strong position in the highways sector.”
Work is expected to start on site in 2008.
