Contractor continues to focus business into joined-up offer for customers
Contractor Costain has formed a new natural resources division as part of ongoing restructuring work.
The new division combines the firm’s energy and process and environment divisions and will handle work in the water, hydrocarbons, chemicals, nuclear process and waste sectors.
The firm is currently focusing its business divisions to try and offer a more joined-up service for customers across its whole range of business lines.
Mark Rogerson, chief development officer at Costain, will head up the new division.
Alan Kay, managing director of the environment division, will take on the new role of group technical and operations director and be responsible for driving innovation and engineering improvement across Costain’s operations.
Andrew Wyllie,Costain Group’s chief executive, said: “As part of the planned transformation of Costain we have formed this new natural resources division committed to delivering an innovative and integrated service across engineering consultancy, construction and operations and maintenance.”
Charles Sweeney, managing director of energy and process will leave the firm. Wyllie thanked Sweeney for his nine years of service to the company.
