New recruit was commander of base at Faslane
A Royal Navy veteran has been appointed to take charge of Costain’s newly combined defence and nuclear businesses.
Bob Anstey spent 36 years with the navy which included roles on submarine patrols, training and operational support.
His last role was commander of the navy’s base at Faslane on the Clyde in Scotland, which is home of the UK’s nuclear deterrent in the form of nuclear submarines armed with Trident missiles.
Natural resources managing director Sam White said: “Bob will initially focus on the interrelations between defence and nuclear to bring about the best solutions to make infrastructure fit for the future.”
Costain will release its 2022 annual results on 14 March.
