Osram has launched the T5 Seamless high-efficiency range of fluorescent lighting which gives designers greater freedom to provide continuous light without shadows

With new geometry, the T5 units are suitable for applications in which premium quality lighting plays a major role, such as in hotels, restaurants or shopping centres.

Continuous strip lighting has traditionally been difficult to achieve, with designers having to put up with dark zones and shadows between the luminaires. The Osram system overcomes this as it needs a minimum end-to-end spacing of just 5mm. Normal T5 lamps require around 20mm.
