Consultants are gearing up to bid for a place on a £516m Office of Government Commerce framework.

A place on the list prequalifies firms for project management jobs for a range of public bodies, including Whitehall, the NHS, councils and police and other emergency services.

The OGC is looking to appoint about eight firms or teams of firms. The framework will last for four years. It is understood that those selected stand to make about £10m in fees.

It has five members at present: Bovis Lend Lease, Drivers Jonas, EC Harris, Gardiner & Theobald and Turner & Townsend.

The consultants have until 3 June to submit bids.
