Mott Macdonald and Atkins among successful bidders to develop plans for the £16bn scheme
Arcadis, CH2M Hill and Aecom are among four groups of consultants that have been appointed to work up designs for the £16bn Crossrail 2 scheme.
The scheme is set to run from North-east to South-west London through a tunnel under the centre of the capital.
The four winning teams formed part of Transport for London’s engineering and project management framework.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson said there was “now real momentum” behind the scheme.
He added: “We’re seeing strong recognition from the business community that this project could have major benefits for London, helping to boost rail capacity and the creation of new jobs and homes in the capital and beyond.”
