A five day health and safety event developed with the Construction Plant Association
Constructionskills is launching the first ever training scheme for plant managers.
The five-day Plant Managers Safety Training Scheme (PMSTS) is designed to improve health and safety on site and covers managers’ responsibilities and accountabilities.
It covers the small plant and tools sector as well as heavy construction plant, and is also suitable for plant instructors, plant inspectors, workshop managers, project managers and agents.
The course has been developed with the Construction Plant Association and was piloted at National Construction College this year.
Neil England, ConstructionSkills Business Performance Manager, said: “We are very enthusiastic about the new PMSTS course, as it will provide tailored training to a key area of the industry, where it was previously unavailable.”
The follows on from the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) – a five day course in site management.
The six existing Constructionskills safety training courses are grouped under the Site Safety Plus umbrella.
