Output fell compared to the same month in 2011, ONS figures reveal

Construction output fell 2.3% in January compared to the same month in 2011, ONS figures have revealed.

However, the ONS said the drop was not sufficient to drag down construction output measured on a three month rolling basis. Construction output grew 0.6% between November last year and January.
