Building kit that teaches children the principles of engineering is Science Museum's Smart Toy of the Year

A building kit has been named as children's Smart Toy of the Year.

The magnetic construction set, MagNext kit, won the title in the Science Museum Awards, which are designed to help parents and children choose fun but intelligent and educational toys on the UK market.

The set allows children to build towers, bridges and other constructions, while simultaneously learning the principles of engineering.
