Construction pensions and insurance provider B&CE is to overhaul its insurance offering and launch a health package for workers.

The largest provider of benefit and financial services to construction workers is revamping group life insurance and personal injury insurance schemes .

Its new well-being package is likely to include hospital benefits and dental care. It is to be introduced at the end of next year.

The company will make its group life insurance policy simpler and is likely to extend critical illness cover.

The changes are due to come in during the first quarter of next year.

It will improve benefit levels on Rapid Cash, its personal injury package, and make the policy clearer.

Those changes are due to come into effect in January.

In addition to the revamp of financial services the company is developing a manual to help young construction workers understand how the personal finance system.

Brian Griffiths, B&CE chief executive, said: “If an employee in the construction industry wants a new product we are providing they will know B&CE is behind it and we are not there to make a profit out of it.”

B&CE provides cover to more than 1 million UK employees and 6,000 employers are signed up to its packages.
