Letter to the Scottish Herald proclaims Scotland must “look outwards to the world of opportunity”
The bosses of property and construction firms Springfield Properties and MAK Architects are among over 200 business bosses that have signed a letter to the Scottish Herald backing a vote for Scottish independence.
The letter follows a similar one from backers of a no vote against Scottish independence released earlier this week, signed by the bosses of engineering giant Babcock and fit-out firm Morris & Spottiswood among others.
Today’s letter, in support of an independent Scotland said: “Scottish industry is often treated as a cash cow rather than a strategically important part of a more prosperous and fairer society.”
It added: “Scotland must look outwards to the world of opportunity that awaits us. A yes vote is the business and jobs opportunity of a lifetime for this and future generations.”
The letter was signed by over 200 business leaders, including Sand Adam, chair of housebuilder Springfield Properties; Ian and Thea McMillan, directors of Chambers McMillan Architects; and Gordon Darge, proprietor of MAK Architects.
