Social housing specialist Connaught has bought two firms for a total of £4.3m.
PCL, an electrical testing and compliance servicing business, was acquired for £3.1m in cash. Environment Plus, a legionella and water testing business, was bought for £1.2m. The two firms’ combined turnover was £4.7m.
Connaught said the acquisitions were in line with its strategy of building an integrated national compliance services business.
The firm also issued a trading update, in which it said it was trading in line with the management’s expectations, ahead of its preliminary results for the 12 months ending 31 August 2007.
At the moment Connaught has a £770m order book, which is a record for the firm.
