Connaught has bought social housing asset management firm AE Williams for £6.5m.
AE Williams, of Tooting, south London, provides call-out maintenance to social landlords in the capital. Its clients include the boroughs of Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea.
Senior management at AE Williams, including Mark Everard, the chief executive, will remain at the business.
Mark Tincknell, chairman of Connaught, said: “A key element of the strategic direction for Connaught is to increase the scope and breadth of asset management services we offer … The business will form a key platform in greater London.”
AE Williams made a profit of £900,000 before interest, tax and amortisation for the year ended 31 March 2006. Its turnover was £18m.
