Development will see 800 new homes, leisure facilities and commercial space.
Compendium Living has won a £100m contract to build a housing, commercial and leisure development in the centre of Derby.
The 30 acre site in Castleward will contain 800 new homes, 215,000ft2 of commercial space, community and leisure facilities, a school and open spaces.
The plans have been designed by architects HTA.
Dave Bullock, managing director of Compendium Living, said: “The regeneration of Castleward signifies a new era for life in Derby, really setting the standard for development and becoming the city’s new front door.”
A planning application for the development will be submitted to Derby city council in the new year.
