Climate change campaign 10:10 is to call on the design, construction and facilities management sector to pledge a 10% reducation in carbon emissions by 2010.
Representatives of the campaign will make the appeal at the Be2camp social media event, to be held in London on 7 and 8 October. The event is indended as a discussion forum for the use of social media to promote sustainability in the built environment and will be attended by construction professionals. 10:10 will describe how the use of social media has been crucial to the success of its campaign to date.
Malachi Chadwick, campaign coordinator for 10:10, said: "This event helps 10:10 reach out to organisations, institutions and indviduals within construction and facilities management, and to have more buildings and estates people joining our campaign. There is a good fit with Be2camp's focus on social media as this is a key element of our campaign."
