Singaporean developer confirms it is looking at revising its procurement strategy for the London tower
The client behind the £500m 43-storey hotel scheme at 150 Bishopsgate in the City of London has confirmed it is considering revising its procurement strategy.
Contractors Bouygues and Mace were earlier this year vying for the contract to build the PLP-designed 562,000ft2 hotel. The wider project team includes consultant Arcadis who is acting as project manager and WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff who are working as the Structural and M&E engineer on the project.
A spokesperson said: “UOL is considering a revised procurement strategy but no decisions have been made on the parties that will be involved.”
Singaporean developer UOL Group purchased the former Heron Plaza site, located at 142-150 Bishopsgate and facing the existing Heron Tower, for £97m from Heron International in 2014.
