Mark Clare, chief executive at Barratt Developments, will top the bill at a two-day housing conference being put on by Building magazine in May.
Clare will outline how housebuilders are attempting to cope with the credit crunch and what the financial squeeze will mean for housing construction.
The line-up will also include Sir Bob Kerslake, chief executive of the Homes and Communities Agency, the government’s planned housing and regeneration super-quango. The conference will be at a central London hotel on 20-21 May.
Other speakers include Roger Madelin, chief executive of the Argent Group, and Paul King, of the UK Green Building Council.
