Judy Lowe will start the two-day-a-week job at training body from 1 October

Judy Lowe has been appointed deputy chair of the CITB by Kevin Brennan, minister for further education, skills, apprenticeships and consumer affairs.

Lowe, who has served on the boards of five construction companies, will start the two-day-a-week job from 1 October 2009.

Brennan said: “I am sure Ms Lowe's knowledge and experience of the industry will be invaluable in helping the board to best address the training needs of the industry.”

Lowe is currently chair of Catalyst Higher Education in Sheffield and Managing Director of Strategic Consulting, and has been appointed for five years to 31 September 2014.
