Aim of network is to support construction professionals working in the region
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is preparing to announce ambitious plans for the development of a Middle East region.
The CIOB will focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, unveiling the plans at the Big 5 exhibition in Dubai on 23 November – the UAE’s largest construction event of the year.

In addition to supporting the industry and key development projects, the CIOB is also hoping its new Middle Eastern region will create a link with the Indian Sub Continent – another key strategic area of interest for the institute.
Fabio Casula, the CIOB’s head of international said: “Construction professionals in the Middle East operate across borders on a regular basis, and the establishment of a regional support network throughout these key areas of activity will allow us to better serve the needs of industry.”
