British Land and Derwent London latest clients to join trade body
Clients British Land and Derwent London have become the latest to join trade body Build UK.
The organisation - which primarily represents thousands of tier one and specialist contractors - has been signing up a steady stream of clients in recent months.
The duo join Almacantar, Argent, Great Portland Estates Lipton Rogers, Sport England and Quintain as some of the first developers to join.
Build UK also announced demolition and civil engineering contractor Keltbray has also signed up.
British Land has a £19bn property portfolio and has developed major schemes including London’s Cheesegrater tower (pictured), while Derwent London has a 6.2 million sq ft portfolio.
Suzannah Nichol, chief executive of Build UK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Derwent London, British Land and Keltbray. 2016 was a fantastic year for Build UK as we brought together the full contracting supply chain for the first time.
“Beginning 2017 with three new members who are committed to working together is a brilliant start and I can’t wait to see how we continue deliver change to the benefit of the whole supply chain.”
