Consultant is adviser on contracts and financial documents on £56m Dublin scheme
Consultant ChandlerKBS is providing cost management services for the £56m (€64m) Shanganagh Bray main drainage scheme in south of Dublin.
The firm has been appointed as part of the employer’s representative team led by McCarthy Hyder and has advised on the contract documents and financial elements of the contractor selection.
It will be responsible for the cost issues of the contract as it is constructed.
The project is a major scheme for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
It includes the replacement of the existing treatment works at Shanganagh as well as the provision of a 6km pipeline running from Bray to Shanganagh to carry the wastewater to the new treatment works under a separate contract.
The contractor will design and construct the works and then operate it for a twenty year period.
Simon Parkhouse, partner responsible for the project, said: “The scheme has just been awarded and the contractor’s design phase has now commenced. The upgraded treatment works will significantly improve the quality of water in the Bay.”
