Hampshire retirement development housed in Grade 1 listed manor house
Consultant ChandlerKBS has completed work as cost manager on the £20m Grove Place in Romsey, Hampshire.
The retirement development is set within 27 acres of landscaped grounds.
The project included the restoration of an existing Grade 1 listed manor house.
The development provides a mix of apartments and bungalows, communal facilities including a restaurant, bar, lounge, snooker room, business centre and gym.
Tony Murley, development business manager at Renaissance Lifecare who operate the facility, said: “The project team, of which ChandlerKBS was an inherent part, responded extremely well to the triple challenge of the restoration of the manor, the redevelopment of a substantial existing building and a mirror image brand new build to provide a high quality scheme whilst staying sympathetic to the setting of the listed building.”
