Joint venture with WSP involves maintenance of motorways and major roads in counties north of London
Carillion has won an £85m maintenance contract with the Highways Agency
The five-year contract, to be carried out in a joint venture with WSP, covers maintenance of a mass of motorways and major roads in counties north of London.
The area covers Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes and Luton unitary authorities. The Carillion team already acts as the managing agent contractor for this area.
The contract, due to start in September 2008, will run until September 2013 with the potential for two year-long extensions through to 2015.
