Carillion submits application to deliver city’s Tower Works mixed-use scheme
Carillion has submitted its £80m Tower Works mixed-used scheme on Leeds’ South Bank for planning.
The Jestico + Whiles-designed scheme comprises 147 canal-side apartments, 90,000 sq ft of commercial office space and 24,000 sq ft for retail outlets, bars and restaurants.
Carillion was first appointed development partner on the scheme in March and signed a contract with the Homes and Communities Agency to deliver the project last month.
DBK is project manager, while WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff is engineering consultant.
Carillion is delivering the project for the Homes and Communities Agency. The one hectare brownfield site houses three grade-two listed Italianate Towers, which give the project its name.
