Contractor will build two office buildings in the Gulf city
A Carillion joint venture has landed a £160m brace of office towers in Dubai.
Al Futtaim Carillion (AFC) will build two office buildings of 12 and 8 storeys as part of the One Central development at Dubai World Trade Centre in the centre of the city.
Construction begins this month, with completion scheduled for the end of next year.
AFC has already completed two earlier phases of One Central, and the latest award takes the total value of contracts it has won on the project to £400m.
Richard Howson, Carillion chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have been selected for the third phase of the One Central development, where we continue to see good opportunities coming to market for which our capabilities and reputation for delivering to high standards of quality, safety and reliability are important to customers.”
