Capita Symonds has been appointed to the NWTRA (North Wales Trunk Road Agency) engineering consultancy framework.
NWTRA is a partnership of the six local authorities in North Wales; Isle of Anglesey CC, Conwy CBC, Denbighshire CC, Flintshire CC, Gwynedd Council and Wrexham CBC.
It is responsible to the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) for the management and maintenance of all trunk roads in North Wales.

The firm (in the form of Travers Morgan and Symonds Group) was responsible for the design and construction of parts of the A55 North Wales Trunk Road in the 1980s and 1990s, including the major tunnels at Conwy, Penmaenmawr and Pen y Clip.
