Back-office firm says accelerated growth in 2007 means it will post strong full year results
Back-office firm Capita has said it expects to post strong results for the full year after “accelerated” growth since its interim results in July.
In a trading update, the group said it had won contracts worth £1.8bn so far in 2007, up from £1.37bn in 2006 and that businesses were performing well.
It added that it had signed two “significant” contracts for outsourced services for Co-operative Insurance and Prudential UK since July.
It said: “With the excellent revenue visibility that we enjoy, we are confident we will deliver a strong performance in 2007 and 2008 and we have a good pipeline of opportunities to fuel growth beyond this.”
The group said a key part of its growth strategy was the acquisition of small to medium sized companies. It has purchased 12 companies so far this year at a cost of £115m.
