Capita Symonds will provide a range of services on the Airbus Aerospace Park project including project management, architectural design, structural engineering and cost management. Aecom will provide M&E services.
The project will eventually house 2750 staff in a new 24,000m² office building and the refurbished Art Deco Pegasus House, which will feature 3,600m² of offices and a 350-seat auditorium.
Martin Whife, Capita Symonds director of major projects, says: “We are looking forward to being involved in this exciting and challenging project which will require innovative thought and a fully integrated client, consultant and construction team in order to achieve the challenging objectives.
Construction is scheduled to start in February 2012 and the Park should be completed in 2013.
