Consultant hires senior heritage management consultant
Consultant Capita Symonds has appointed Jane Jackson senior heritage management consultant in charge of its heritage and culture team.
She has over 20 years of conservation planning experience.
Capita Symonds’ Heritage and Culture team offers a number of services including building restoration and adaptation, historic building surveys, conservation plans and visitor interpretations and promotions.
Jackson will be based at the Carlisle Offices and will work with other historic environment and project management professionals from across Capita Symonds’ UK offices.
She joins the firm from the Edinburgh World Heritage Trust where she was world heritage site co-ordinator and deputy director, providing input on world heritage matters in strategic planning policy and major development projects.
Jackson has also previously worked for English Heritage and a number of local authorities including City of York and Wrekin Council.
She said: “I will be using my experience of projects nationally and internationally to bring an informed conservation approach to the restoration of buildings and structures.”
