British consultant to support lenders behind €200m toll road in Senegal
Capita Symonds has won a role on the first PPP motorway deal in West Africa. The firm’s Infrastructure PFI/PPP team is to act for the lenders behind a planned €200m, 25km toll highway from Dakar, the capital of Senegal, towards the country’s new international airport at Diass and the economic centre of Diamniadio.
Capita is carrying out technical and traffic audits of the design and construction proposals and reviewing the proposed operation and life cycle maintenance of the completed road on behalf of the lenders, Société Eiffage de la Nouvelle Autoroute Concédée.
Construction is due to begin in summer 2010.
