Firm will provide consultancy for new sports facilities in Hastings and Bexhill up to 2020
Capita Symonds has won a contract on a major leisure scheme for the coastal towns of Hastings and Bexhill.
The firm's consulting team will provide a leisure facilities strategy for Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council and East Sussex County Council that will lead to the development of a clear strategy for new sports facilities in the region up to 2020.
The work will involve assessing current challenges in delivering sport and leisure opportunities for the community as well as gauging future supply and demand.
The scheme will complement a range of exciting regeneration initiatives that are set to transform the area.
Tom Pinnington, project manager at Capita Symonds, said: “Cross boundary leisure strategies are innovative and are an indication of the desire for joint working and complementary provision in Hastings and Bexhill.
“Ultimately, this type of collaboration will benefit the communities of both towns and improve the sustainability of their sport and leisure facilities.”
