Consultant is designer and project manager on Pont Calzaghe Bridge in Newbridge
Caerphilly County Borough Council’s joint venture partner Capita Symonds is designer and project manager on a £2.6m landmark bridge in South Wales.
The Pont Calzaghe Bridge in Newbridge will provide a link for pedestrians and cyclists between Newbridge Town Centre, Newbridge Comprehensive School, the nearby leisure centre and the new local Ebbw Valley railway station.
It comprises of two connected footway/cycleway bridges - one spanning the Ebbw Valley Railway and the other the River Ebbw.
A key section of the bridge has already been lifted into place and it is expected to open in September.
