Atlantis, The Palm features the tallest freefall water slide in the Middle East, 65,000 marine creatures in a special underwater lagoon
Consultant Capita Bobrowski has completed work on a new luxury resort in Dubai.
The £8m contract on Atlantis, The Palm, for UAE client Citiscape, is at the centre of The Palm Jumeirah development.
Situated in the middle of the crescent-shaped development, the 1,539-room, 46ha resort includes 17ha of water parks, beaches, luxury boutiques, restaurants, a nightclub, a spa and fitness club, and 5,600m² of meeting and function space.
As well as including the tallest freefall water slide in the Middle East, the resort also features over 65,000 marine creatures in a special underwater lagoon.
A team led by technical director Stuart Holdsworth and lead engineering technician Bruno Postle designed, manufactured and installed 20 tensioned membrane shade structures covering 10,000m² at the complex.
The resort is due to open in September.
