Outsourcing firm acquired health and government divisionsfor £15.8m
Outsourcing firm Capita, is to acquire the 340-employee health and government divisions of public sector consultancy Tribal Group for £15.8m.
Tribal’s health and government divisions made a pro forma operating loss of £0.9m on a turnover of £71.5m in the year to 31 December 2010.
Paul Pindar, Capita’s chief executive officer, said: “The government consulting acquisition will strengthen our proposition for service delivery and technical support across central and local government, including policing, justice and housing.”
Capita Symonds, Capita’s built environment arm, also announced last week that it will shut its architecture office at Goswell Road in London, with the loss of 40 jobs. It employs 300 architects in total.
