Capita’s property and infrastructure business has appointed an executive director for health
Capita’s property and infrastructure business has appointed Richard Darch as executive director for the health sector.
Darch joins from primary care property and extra care housing developer Ashley House, where he was executive director, and Healthcare Partnering, a company Darch founded in 2007 to provide strategic advice to healthcare clients.
Capita’s health property team has managed and disposed of over £1.5bn surplus properties for the NHS.
Richard Marchant, chief executive of property and infrastructure at Capita said: “I am extremely pleased to announce Richard’s appointment. He brings a wealth of experience in healthcare consulting and specifically in infrastructure development and funding.
“He has successfully grown and sold a number of healthcare consulting businesses over the years and has a great track record in healthcare projects, PFI and LIFT initiatives.
“Following the sad death of David Lawrence in March we have been seeking a worthy replacement. Richard will also work closely with the wider Capita plc to develop more joined-up opportunities across healthcare, as well as accelerating growth for our business.”
