Consultant to provide risk assessment and event safety plans on annual events

Consultant Capita Symonds has been appointed to provide risk assessment and event safety plans at the Henley Royal Regatta.

The firm will also provide risk assessment, event safety plans and full safety co-ordination at the Henley Festival.

This year’s Royal Regatta takes place from 1 to 5 July at Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.

The event features various competitions raced over a course one mile, 550 yards long, the most prestigious of which is the Grand Challenge Cup for Men's Eights which was first staged in 1839.

The Henley Festival, which is held from 8 to 12 July, features classical music, jazz, opera, comedy, dance, street theatre, rock and firework spectaculars.

This year’s event features performances from Katherine Jenkins, John Barrowman and comedian Rich Hall.
