Tower Hamlets grants permission for KPF-designed tower
Kohn Pederson Fox has won permission for a 27-storey tall office tower in Canary Wharf.
The London borough of Tower Hamlets’ planning committee has granted consent for the 700,000 sq ft building, which will be located at One Bank Street on the wharf estate.
The office space in the scheme, which KPF has designed for Canary Wharf Group, will include three levels of trading floors.
The scheme also comprises a shop at ground level and basement parking for cars and cycles.
There will also be public access to a new decked promenade on South Dock, which the building will open out onto.
French bank Société Générale has signed a 25-year lease for the building’s eight bottom floors, which cover a total of 280,000 sq ft.
