Business to be headed by former energy consultant
West Yorkshire firm Caddick Group has launched a new land business.
Caddick Land will sit alongside the group’s development and construction arms and be headed by Chris Procter (pictured), who previously ran energy consultancy Resolved Renewables before joining Caddick back in April.
He said: “While lots of other land companies simply come in get planning permission and sell a site, we are prepared to take a longer term view and create a turnkey land solution for commercial and residential developers by providing the necessary infrastructure to make a scheme work and maximise landowner returns.
“It will also enable the wider Caddick Group to take a full lifecycle approach to development, from site identification through to planning and construction.”
Caddick, which was set up by the majority owner of Leeds Rhinos rugby league club Paul Caddick more than 30 years ago, recently completed its first scheme in London, a 36-storey development in Nine Elms – the area of the capital where Sir Robert McAlpine is building the new US embassy.
