White Young Green has given the City an upbeat assessment of the financial year.

The multidisciplinary consultancy said performance since July has been strong across all business sectors.

Its statement added: “We see opportunities to grow the business and the acquisition pipeline remains strong.”

WYG said its three most recent purchases (Independent Transport Consultants, Management Consultants Group and Irish firm PH McCarthy Consulting Engineers) were integrating well into the business.

In September WYG posted a 21% spike in full year pre-tax profit at £13.4m.

Lawrie Haynes, the chief executive, said he was keen to get involved in the nuclear market, which could be worth up to £70bn.
