This remarkable ‘biotecture’ project is the template for fully sustainable dwellings. The Earthship generates its own heat, light, ventilation, power and, uniquely, drinking water by harvesting rainwater from the roof. The CA32 1000R roof was manufactured using Corus Colorcoat HPS200® pre-finished steel which, for this project, was tested against BS6920 ‘suitability of products for use in contact with water intended for human consumption’.
