Industry leaders and politicians came together to toast the construction sector at Building’s annual terrace reception at the Palace of Westminster.

Chief construction adviser Paul Morrell led the speakers, saying he was “proud” of the fact that his critics had claimed that there was very little that was new in his proposals - he said his role was about doing, not pointing out a new direction.
