Summit will feature key ministerial speakers and include sessions on government spending and BIM
Building is to host the government’s Construction Summit on 2 July at the Park Plaza hotel, Westminster Bridge.
The summit, being produced by Building in partnership with the Cabinet Office and Department for Business, Innovation & Skills, will feature key ministerial speakers including the construction minister Mark Prisk and cabinet office minister Francis Maude, as well as Paul Morrell, the chief construction adviser.
The programme is expected to include sessions on government spending, pipeline work and BIM. Building also plans to host a CEO breakfast at the event and a Building 2012 gala dinner.
Building brand director Tom Broughton said: “Building is proud to host the summit. This event provides an opportunity to collaborate with the government as a client and to understand Whitehall considerations. And, on the eve of the Olympics, there is no better time to assess the challenges and opportunities for UK construction.”
