Go to the 10 Downing Street website to pledge your support for the Charter 284 campaign
Building has launched a petition to persuade the government to protect investment in construction.
Set up on the 10 Downing Street website, the move is part of Building’s Charter 284 campaign, which calls on the party that wins this year’s general election to:
- Complete the renewal of the schools estate
- Prevent spending on transport infrastructure from falling more than 10% below current levels
- Reduce the regulatory burden on the housing sector to encourage more development
- Give householders incentives to green existing homes
- Prioritise the development of renewable and nuclear energy through incentives for private sector investment
