The first companies to make the shortlist of the 2020 Building Awards have been revealed in this video.

The inaugural Proud to Help Award, which was set up to recognise the efforts of construction in response to the covid-19 pandemic, is among the first tranche of categories to be announced, while the nominees for the Building Magazine Project of the Year and Architectural Practice of the Year have also been revealed.

The video also announces firms in the running for both the Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year with more than 100 staff and fewer than 100 staff.

And for the first time there is a Diversity Award and a Delivering Social Value category.
