Architect’s Martin Building at the Forest School in Epping Forest reaches completion
Architect Buckley Gray Yeoman’s Martin Building at the Forest School in Epping Forest, London, has reached completion this month.
The building, built by contractor Barley McNaughton, is situated in a conservation area on a site that contains four grade II-listed buildings.
The new building incorporates smaller windows to limit solar gain and black glass on elevations of the ground floor.
Paul White, director at Buckley Gray Yeoman, said: “Our challenge in designing the Martin Building was to remain sensitive to Forest School’s heritage and remarkable location while creating a contemporary piece of architecture.”
