This builder in Belgium's 'Venice of the north' barely has hold of reality, let alone the outside of a rooflight four storeys up.
Mervin Nethercoat of Hull spotted this handyman / adrenaline junkie while abroad in Brugge earlier this year. As we debate exactly what a person who lives in Brugge is called, take a closer look at this picture.
The man is stood on a ledge (actually it's the frame of an openable rooflight) shorter than the length of his feet, with no harness in sight. He uses one hand to hold onto the roof, while bent in a position that's definitely not condusive to natural balance - all just a few feet away from a long, straight drop. Crazy fool.
