Brett Martin enhances domed rooflight range
An innovative range of enhancements to rooflights specially developed to meet the growing demands of the flat roofing market has been launched by Brett Martin Daylight Systems.
Improvements to the popular BBA-approved Mardome portfolio, featuring the ultra-secure Mardome Ultra, classic aluminium Premier, high-security Surefit, pre-drilled Trade and glazing-only Reflex options, include a new fully thermally broken kerb adaptor, new packaging and next-day deliveries on all common sizes.
The Mardome range already features a unique kerb, which was designed to allow horizontal termination of membrane, thus making water penetration virtually impossible, but also incorporates security features that create an exceptionally reliable, safe and secure rooflight up to 1,800 x 1,800mm.
The new thermally broken kerb adaptor enables roofing contractors to use standard-size domes in non-standard size openings, avoiding the extra cost of either getting a bespoke dome manufactured or altering the size of the opening, so is particularly valuable on refurbishment applications..
It has been designed to allow as much natural light in as possible as it adapts up to the next size in the range, rather than down as some competitive products do.
And it is fully thermally broken, so helping to improve overall insulation values and reduce damaging and unsightly condensation problems associated with aluminium adapters traditionally used for this application.
Manufactured with a bullnose kerb edge and UV-protecting co-extrusion, the adaptor will complement the Mardome kerb for many years to come. It also saves money, being substantially more cost effective than other aluminium adaptor products on the market, and is available with short lead times.
Supporting this development is the launch of new packaging that was required to meet two objectives – Brett Martin’s wish to operate a more environmentally friendly delivery system and to ensure that product delivered via courier services turns up in perfect condition.
Brett Martin’s domed rooflights in premium, solid polycarbonate are now supplied in new, lidded packaging, which is made from rigid, recycled and recyclable cardboard, is more robust and enables the company to offer next-day deliveries (provided the order is placed before 12noon) on a range of Mardome options that currently include clear glazed Mardome Trade and Mardome Reflex in the most common sizes. Also available on next-day delivery are some ventilation options.
Opening and ventilation options in the Mardome range include manual and powered hinges and 30 degree and 90 degree automatic openers to help with smoke clearance.
As well as the standard domes, Mardomes are also available in a pyramid profile that is safer in areas where there is a risk of people walking on the rooflight.
